Who you are:
You’re hands-on, technically curious, and happiest when you’re figuring out why something isn’t working and then fixing it. You don’t need years of experience—you need solid problem-solving instincts, an eye for detail, and the ability to clearly explain what you found. As our Product Tester, you’ll be the person who decides whether a returned or pre-owned Satechi product gets a second life, and you’ll take pride in sending only quality units back out the door. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based on-site within our Quality Assurance team.
What you will be doing:
Test returned, open-box, and pre-owned products against Satechi’s functional and cosmetic quality standards.
Diagnose hardware, connectivity, and firmware issues to determine whether a unit should be repaired, refurbished, or scrapped.
Perform refurbishment work including cleaning, part replacement, firmware updates, and repackaging to like-new condition.
Document test results, defects, and dispositions accurately in inventory and tracking systems.
Identify recurring defects and quality trends, and flag them to the QA and product teams.
Maintain accurate counts of refurbished units, components, and spare parts.
Meet daily throughput and quality targets while keeping a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent; 0–1 years of experience in electronics testing, repair, QA, or warehouse operations (relevant coursework or hands-on hobbyist experience counts).
Genuine technical aptitude with consumer electronics—comfortable with things like USB-C, charging, Bluetooth, and basic troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with a methodical, curious approach.
Clear written and verbal communication for documenting defects and collaborating across teams.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to stay focused on repetitive, precise tasks.
Able to handle and lift products comfortably (typically up to 25 lbs).
Bonus: familiarity with inventory or ticketing software, or basic soldering/repair skills.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $19.00–$23.00 per hour based on knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
